Israeli Raids in West Bank Result in Fatality, Dozens Detained

Israeli forces conducted multiple raids across the West Bank, resulting in the death of a Palestinian teenager and the detention of numerous others. The operations targeted several cities and villages, sparking clashes and raising tensions in the region.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a Palestinian teenager was killed and several others were arrested during overnight raids by Israeli forces in the West Bank. The military operations targeted multiple locations, leading to confrontations and increased security measures.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that 16-year-old Mohammed Obahra was fatally shot by Israeli soldiers near the village of Al-Sila Al-Harithiya, located in the Jenin Governorate in the northern West Bank. The Israeli military confiscated his body, according to reports.

In response, the Israeli army issued a statement claiming its forces killed an armed Palestinian individual for allegedly throwing explosives. The army claimed no casualties among its forces during the operation.

Local sources reported a fresh wave of raids, arrests, and attacks by Israeli occupation forces and settlers in various areas of the West Bank early today.

According to these reports, Israeli forces detained a Palestinian youth, Saeed al-Dsuqi, at the “Bazzaria” checkpoint west of Nablus. Another young man was arrested at the “Ourta” checkpoint south of Nablus while crossing the military post.

In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli soldiers extensively used tear gas against Palestinian citizens during a raid on the town of Ram, causing suffocation among the residents.

Sources reported Israeli incursions into the city of Tulkarm. The Israeli forces also raided the suburb of Aktaba, east of Tulkarm, storming homes and detaining several residents for field interrogation.

In the southern West Bank, occupation forces raided the Al-Buireh area in the city of Hebron, searching homes and arresting at least ten Palestinian youths. Simultaneously, Israeli settlers attacked the same area, firing extensively at citizens’ homes, creating panic and fear among the residents.

Israeli soldiers also raided the city of Halhul in the north of Hebron, conducting a wave of arrests and house-to-house searches during the operation. In the same city, Palestinian journalist Thaer al-Fakhouri was arrested after Israeli forces raided his home.

In the northern West Bank, occupation forces raided the village of Taanak, north of Jenin, and the village of Anin, west of the city. Reports also emerged of Israeli soldiers raiding the village of Tal, southwest of Nablus, during an operation that included storming houses and at least one case of a violent home search.

In the Salfit Governorate, local sources reported Israeli raids on the town of Al-Zawiya, west of the province. In the Ramallah area, Israeli soldiers raided the village of Al-Mughayer, northeast of the city, and the Umm al-Sharayet neighborhood in the town of Al-Bireh.
