Israeli War Cabinet Approves Unprecedented Settlement Expansion in West Bank

The Israeli war cabinet has greenlit the construction of 19 new settlements in strategic areas, marking the largest expansion in the occupied West Bank in decades, with officials admitting the move aims to prevent Palestinian statehood.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Israeli war cabinet has approved an unprecedented settlement expansion plan in the occupied West Bank, endorsing a proposal by the regime’s finance and war ministers to establish 19 new settlements. Hebrew media reports indicate these settlements will be built in strategic locations across the central and northern West Bank, including Bethlehem, the Jordan Valley, and Hebron in the southern region.

This approval accelerates Israel’s settlement project, with 69 new settlements slated for construction within three years – the highest rate of expansion ever recorded. The Israeli finance minister acknowledged the unprecedented scale of the project, explicitly stating its primary objective is to obstruct the formation of a Palestinian state.
