Tensions Escalate Between UAE and Saudi Arabia as Proxy Forces Clash in Yemen

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, field clashes between UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council mercenaries and Saudi-supported factions of Yemen’s self-proclaimed government have escalated, accompanied by a rise in political and verbal confrontations among their leaders.
Mustafa al-Nu’man, Deputy Foreign Minister of Yemen’s self-proclaimed government, recently announced readiness to form an alliance with Ansarullah forces to preserve Yemen’s territorial integrity against southern separatists. These remarks provoked Anwar al-Tamimi, official spokesperson of the Southern Transitional Council, who stated that al-Nu’man’s proposal to collaborate with Ansarullah marks a dangerous escalation.
Al-Tamimi further claimed that the fundamental principles of the decisive battle against Iran’s alleged project in Yemen are being undermined. He warned that such statements not only threaten southern Yemeni residents but also constitute a challenge to the Saudi-led coalition, which was formed specifically to counter Ansarullah forces.
Reports indicate UAE-backed mercenaries have recently expanded their controlled territories in eastern and southern Yemen, drawing opposition from both the self-proclaimed Yemeni government and Saudi-supported factions. Both UAE and Saudi Arabia have previously intervened directly to support their respective proxy forces in these conflicts.
