President Trump Announces Plan to Modernize US Navy with New ‘Trump-Class’ Warships
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, US President Donald Trump has announced his administration’s plan to construct a new fleet of advanced warships for the US Navy. Trump referred to the new fleet as the Pentagon’s ‘Golden Fleet’ and confirmed approval for the construction of two entirely new, exceptionally large warships.
He stated that he expects a total of 10 such vessels to be built in a short period, eventually expanding to 20-25 ships. The President emphasized that these warships will be the largest in US history and even in global naval history.
When asked if the warships are intended to counter China, Trump responded that they could be used against anyone, though he expressed hope that their use would never be necessary. US Navy Secretary John Filan described the Trump-class warships as an upgraded version of the Iowa-class battleships, ranking among the largest in the world.
