Landslide in Indonesia Leaves Dozens Dead Amid Heavy Rainfall

A deadly landslide in West Java, Indonesia, has claimed 70 lives, with 10 still missing, following days of heavy rainfall, according to local rescue officials.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a devastating landslide struck the western regions of Bandung in West Java, Indonesia, on January 24, after several days of intense rainfall. The incident has resulted in significant casualties and displacement.
The head of Bandung’s search and rescue office reported that 158 people were affected by the disaster. So far, 78 individuals have been rescued, while 70 have lost their lives. Ten people remain missing under the debris.
Authorities have implemented measures to prevent further landslides in the area. Approximately 230 residents from the affected zones have been relocated to temporary shelters, with some residential areas completely buried under mud and soil.
