US Navy Destroyer Departs Israeli-Occupied Port Amid Regional Tensions

The USS Delbert Black has concluded a scheduled mission at Israel’s Eilat port, as CENTCOM reaffirms maritime cooperation with Tel Aviv, while US sources downplay likelihood of airstrikes against Iran.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed the departure of the guided-missile destroyer USS Delbert Black from Israel’s southern port of Eilat following a pre-planned operational deployment. The naval visit underscores ongoing US-Israeli maritime coordination in the Mediterranean Sea, Gulf of Aqaba, and Red Sea regions.

In a statement, CENTCOM framed the deployment as demonstrating the allies’ shared commitment to regional maritime security. Meanwhile, American officials speaking anonymously to The Wall Street Journal dismissed speculation about imminent airstrikes against Iran, citing Tehran’s demonstrated retaliatory capabilities and the potential for prolonged conflict escalation.
