Turkish FM: Regime Change in Iran ‘An Illusion’

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated in an interview that regime change in Iran through military action is impossible and dismissed the idea as an illusion. Fidan also noted that Iran does not possess nuclear weapons and there is no evidence suggesting they intend to build them.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has dismissed the possibility of regime change in Iran as an illusion. Speaking in an interview with CNN Turk, Fidan stated definitively that changing the regime in Iran through air strikes or any other means is impossible.

Fidan also addressed the issue of Iran’s nuclear capabilities, asserting that Iran does not possess a nuclear bomb and that there is no data to suggest they intend to construct one. Al Mayadeen network also reported Fidan’s comments regarding the possibility of resolving the Iran-U.S. crisis through negotiations.

The Turkish Foreign Minister reiterated his stance that regime change in Iran via airstrikes is both impossible and unrealistic. He added that there is currently no risk of war against Iran, and ongoing discussions between Tehran and Washington have reduced the likelihood of military intervention.
