Iraq Pursues Enhanced Defense Capabilities Through Cooperation with Ten Nations

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Ayoub Al-Rubaie, a former member of the Iraqi Parliament’s Security and Defense Committee, announced that the nation is executing a new strategy involving engagement with ten other countries to strengthen its military and defensive capacities. This development underscores Baghdad’s commitment to military modernization.
Al-Rubaie stressed that Iraq fully recognizes the critical importance of augmenting its defense capabilities in the contemporary era, especially concerning the integration of cutting-edge technologies, specifically unmanned aerial vehicles (drones). He detailed that Baghdad’s overarching strategy incorporates collaborative efforts with these ten distinct nations.
The objective of this international cooperation is to achieve greater flexibility in procuring the necessary weaponry required to effectively counter Iraq’s evolving security dilemmas. The former lawmaker further indicated that Baghdad has initiated a long-term blueprint designed to upgrade its overall defensive and armament potential, taking into full account the current geopolitical shifts occurring across the region.
