Russia Condemns US Boat Attack on Cuban Forces as Provocation

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia‘s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Maria Zakharova, has described a recent incident where a boat flying the American flag fired upon Cuban forces near the country’s coast as a hostile action intended to inflame the situation. This statement was issued following reports from Cuba’s Ministry of Interior detailing the event. The ministry stated that an American boat encroached upon Cuban territorial waters and initiated gunfire. Cuban defense forces responded to this intrusion with retaliatory fire, which resulted in the deaths of four individuals aboard the attacking vessel. The Cuban Ministry of Interior emphasized that this incident occurred as a direct consequence of a violation of the nation’s maritime sovereignty and the initial shots fired by the boat.
