Oman Reaffirms Commitment to Diplomacy, Calls for End to Conflict

Oman’s Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, has reiterated the nation’s unwavering commitment to its foreign policy principles, emphasizing the urgent need to halt ongoing conflicts and return to diplomatic solutions amidst escalating regional tensions.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Oman remains steadfast in its foreign policy principles despite dangerous regional developments, stated Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Albusaidi, the nation’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. Albusaidi emphasized Muscat’s continued efforts to bring an end to the ongoing conflict and re-engage in diplomatic processes.

The Omani Foreign Minister further noted that Oman has consistently offered its assistance to de-escalate conflicts, including the current one, and to facilitate any necessary diplomatic interventions. This commitment to mediation and peaceful resolution remains a cornerstone of Oman’s international engagement.

These remarks come in the wake of reports from some Arab media outlets, such as Al-Arabiya, detailing a phone call between Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and the Sultan of Oman. The discussion reportedly focused on regional developments and the recent aggressions by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran.
