UK Denies Involvement in Operations Against Iran, Cites Different Approach Than US

British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper stated Tuesday that the United Kingdom has not participated in any offensive operations against Iran and is taking a different approach than the United States. Cooper affirmed defensive actions to protect regional partners against Iranian attacks, deeming them unjustifiable.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper announced Tuesday that the United Kingdom has not been involved in any offensive operations against Iran, indicating a distinct approach compared to the United States. Cooper asserted that the UK has undertaken defensive measures to support its partners in the Persian Gulf region against what she described as unjustifiable Iranian attacks on allies.

Cooper also commented on Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, claiming that the international community must prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons. Without acknowledging the repercussions of alleged American-Zionist aggressions on Iranian territory and the ensuing insecurity in the region, she expressed support for negotiations between Washington and Tehran aimed at reopening the Strait of Hormuz without any cost. The British Foreign Secretary emphasized the desire for a swift and successful resolution to the ongoing talks between the United States and Iran, stressing the need for an agreement that fosters peace and stability in the Middle East (West Asia).

Furthermore, the British Foreign Secretary voiced concerns over escalating tensions in Lebanon and Iran, describing the situation as the most dangerous moment since a fragile ceasefire agreement. Her remarks indicated a stance that aligns with the Israeli regime, which she implicitly identified as a source of crisis in the West Asia region.
