Russia and China Call for De-escalation amid Regional Tensions, Criticize Unilateral Sanctions

Moscow and Beijing have urged restraint and an end to escalating tensions in the region, with both nations expressing concern over recent developments and rejecting unilateral sanctions.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia and China have responded to heightened regional tensions by calling for de-escalation and expressing their positions on the ongoing conflicts and international sanctions.

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Moscow is inviting the United States and Iran to exercise self-restraint, emphasizing that targeting civilian infrastructure is unacceptable. The ministry reiterated Russia’s readiness to assist in finding solutions to resolve the conflict with Iran.

Similarly, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Beijing is deeply concerned about developments related to the war in the Middle East and calls for an end to the escalating tensions. Regarding the European Union’s plan to include Chinese companies in sanctions packages against Russia, the ministry declared opposition to unilateral sanctions and affirmed that necessary measures will be taken to protect China’s interests.
