Lebanese Soldier Dies from Injuries Sustained in Israeli Attack

The Lebanese Army has announced that one of its soldiers succumbed to severe injuries sustained during a recent Israeli airstrike in the Nabatieh region. This incident marks a significant escalation in ongoing hostilities.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Lebanese Army has confirmed that one of its soldiers has died from serious injuries resulting from an Israeli airstrike on the Nabatieh area. The soldier, identified as Mohammad Suleiman Al-Ahmad, had been wounded in Nabatieh some time ago and passed away on June 10th due to the severity of his injuries.

Al-Akhbar previously reported that the Lebanese Army has paid a heavy price for defending the nation’s sovereignty, losing 27 personnel during recent aggressions, even as Lebanese political factions repeatedly spoke of an end to hostilities. Since the conclusion of the 2024 war and the signing of a ceasefire agreement on November 27th of that year, Lebanese political officials have consistently expressed their desire for surrender and an end to the state of war.

Despite these declarations, the Israeli occupation army has continued to disregard such positions, intensifying its provocations. Between the renewed aggressions on March 2, 2026, and May 6, 2026, a total of 27 Lebanese military personnel were killed. The army’s latest statement emphasizes that these killings were deliberate and brutal, as the soldiers were targeted while on duty and in uniform. This contradicts claims by political officials that army uniforms did not pose a threat to Israel, yet they were still targeted by Israeli weaponry.

The fallen soldiers of the Lebanese Army represent more than just administrative names; they are a testament to ongoing aggression amid the silence and inaction of Lebanese political authorities.
