A spokesperson for the Iraqi government announced that the agenda for Al-Sudani’s visit includes crucial discussions on trade agreements, transportation infrastructure development, and the import of natural gas. These areas represent key pillars of economic cooperation between the two neighboring countries.

The spokesperson further emphasized that the issue of arms monopoly residing solely with the government is a matter of national sovereignty and is not typically a subject for discussion with other capitals. This statement underscores Iraq’s firm stance on its internal security policies.

Looking ahead, the Iraqi Prime Minister is also slated to visit Turkey and Syria later this month. While specific dates were not provided for these upcoming trips, they signal continued diplomatic engagement with regional powers to foster stability and cooperation.
