Hezbollah Secretary-General Na’im Qasim Marks 20th Anniversary of 2006 Victory

Hezbollah Secretary-General Na’im Qasim delivered a speech commemorating the 20th anniversary of the 2006 victory, highlighting the significance of the ‘True Promise’ war against the Israeli enemy and the broader implications for the region.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Sheikh Na’im Qasim, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah in Lebanon, emphasized in his speech today, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the 2006 victory, that the war was named ‘True Promise’ against the Zionist enemy, which had launched a wide-scale aggression against Lebanon. One of the outcomes of this operation was the liberation of prisoners. The operation of capturing two enemy soldiers should not have been met with the initiation of a war, but it later became clear that Israel, in collaboration with the United States, was paving the way for a major war in September. The project for a ‘New Middle East’ was significant at that time but ultimately failed.
