US Allies Unaware of Secret Moscow Trip Details, Report Says

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, European officials have revealed that the United States did not brief its European allies on the details of CIA Director John Ratcliffe‘s secret journey to Moscow. European parties reportedly had no insight into the specifics of the negotiations between Ratcliffe and Sergey Naryshkin, the head of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service.
Earlier, The Wall Street Journal, quoting U.S. officials, reported that President Donald Trump had personally dispatched John Ratcliffe on a special mission to Russia. During discussions with his Russian counterparts, Ratcliffe emphasized Washington’s commitment to Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty (NATO), which concerns collective defense of member states. The discussions also centered on the conflict in Ukraine.
