CIA Director Undertook Secret Mission to Russia on President Trump’s Orders

Central Intelligence Agency Director John Ratcliffe traveled to Russia on a special mission at the behest of President Donald Trump, reportedly urging Moscow to cease its economic and security ties with Iran while reaffirming U.S. commitment to NATO’s Article 5.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, The Wall Street Journal, citing U.S. officials, reported that U.S. President Donald Trump personally dispatched John Ratcliffe, the head of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), on a special mission to Russia. During discussions with his Russian counterparts, Ratcliffe emphasized Washington’s adherence to Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty (NATO), which pertains to the collective defense of member states. Furthermore, U.S. officials announced that the CIA director requested Moscow to halt its economic and security relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran during this visit.
