Russia Vows Decisive Response to Germany’s Consulate Closure

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia has stated it will decisively respond to Germany’s decision to close its consulate in the city of Bonn. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko emphasized that Moscow will react firmly at the opportune moment.

Earlier, the German Foreign Ministry had announced the closure of the Russian consulate in Bonn as a retaliatory measure against Moscow’s actions in the Ukraine conflict. Berlin has also accused Moscow of involvement in the discovery of a drone carrying an explosive device at Leipzig airport last August.

Relations between Russia and Germany have been marked by severe tensions due to Berlin’s unwavering support for Ukraine and the sanctions imposed against Moscow.
