Western Media Claims Erupt Over Recent Tensions in Strait of Hormuz

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the American media outlet Axios has claimed that during recent clashes, the U.S. military conducted operations targeting around 100 different sites with the objective of weakening Iran’s defensive and offensive capabilities. This report is based on data published by Mehr News Agency, quoting Al Jazeera.

According to the claims by this outlet, citing Washington officials, these targets included air defense systems, reconnaissance radars, telecommunication centers, and equipment associated with cruise missile and drone launchers. Axios also alleged that in an unprecedented move, U.S. military drones attacked the engine rooms of Iranian oil tankers, aiming to inflict damage.

Another section of the report details alleged Iranian military responses. The outlet reported that Iran launched ballistic missiles and drones towards military bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Erbil during these engagements. However, it further claimed that U.S. forces intercepted the majority of these launches.
