Russia Warns of Retaliation Over Kyiv’s Airspace Threats

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of Russia‘s Security Council, has declared that Moscow will implement reciprocal retaliatory measures if Kyiv persists with threats against civilian aviation in Russian skies.

Medvedev characterized the ruling regime in Kyiv as terrorist and asserted that Moscow does not engage in negotiations with terrorists.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had alerted airlines and insurance companies that Russia’s airspace is no longer secure for civilian flights due to the presence of Ukrainian drones, suggesting it could effectively be closed.

He specifically urged companies that continue to operate flights to Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and other significant Russian aviation hubs to consider the existing risks.
