Israeli Airstrikes and Artillery Bombard Southern Lebanon

Israeli warplanes and artillery have targeted several areas in southern Lebanon, including Nabatieh al-Fawqa, Kafr Kela, and the Wadi al-Slouqi area, amidst ongoing cross-border tensions.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in southern Lebanon reported that Israeli warplanes bombed areas in Nabatieh al-Fawqa and surrounding regions of Kafr Kela in the country’s south. Concurrently, Israeli airstrikes also targeted Al-Mansouri, Zawtar al-Sharqiyah, and Wadi al-Slouqi. Nabatieh al-Fawqa was also subjected to artillery shelling by the Israeli army. Previously, Lebanon and Israel, mediated by the United States, had reached a framework agreement to end hostilities. This agreement, resulting from several rounds of negotiations between the involved parties and facilitated by Washington, aimed to establish a ceasefire and de-escalate tensions along the borders of Lebanon and occupied Palestine. Despite the signing of this agreement, Israel has repeatedly violated its terms.
