US Newspaper Suggests Pentagon Missile Caused Deadly Iran Wedding Attack

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, The Washington Post has reported that a deadly attack on a wedding ceremony in Iran was likely the result of a stray American bomb that missed its intended target nearby.

The English-language newspaper added that the United States had targeted a communications complex in the coastal city of Kohsestak with six missiles, but one of them failed to hit its mark.

Citing an informed source, The Washington Post wrote that the Pentagon is strongly investigating the possibility that an explosion in southern Iran, which destroyed a house hosting a wedding ceremony, was caused by an American bomb that missed its intended nearby target.

Following US airstrikes in southern Iran on the evening of September 1st, a residential building in the coastal town of Kohsestak, Sirik County, Hormozgan Province, was hit while a number of women and children had gathered there for a wedding ceremony. Initial reports indicated four fatalities, including two women and two children, and over 60 injuries. However, later reports stated that a 22-year-old woman also succumbed to her injuries, bringing the total number of victims to five.
