Adidas Faces Global Backlash Over Controversial Advertisement Featuring Israeli Soldier

Global outrage has erupted over Adidas’s new advertisement campaign featuring an Israeli soldier who lost a limb during the Gaza Strip conflict, prompting calls for boycotts due to the company’s perceived disregard for the ongoing Palestinian crisis.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a wave of international anger has been sparked by Adidas‘s controversial advertisement featuring an Israeli soldier who lost a limb during the aggression against the Gaza Strip. Social media activists have called for a boycott of the company, citing its indifference to the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the suffering of thousands of Palestinian children who have lost limbs due to brutal Israeli attacks.

The soldier in question, identified as Shaliv Biton, a former sniper from the Nahal Brigade, sustained his injury when his military vehicle was targeted by an anti-armor missile.

Following his agreement to participate in the advertisement, announced on August 26, criticism against Adidas intensified, with the hashtag #BoycottAdidas trending. Social media activists shared images of Palestinian children who are forced to use crutches due to limb amputations.

American influencer Guy Christenson, who has 3.7 million followers on TikTok, described the Adidas advertisement as disgusting.
