Arab Nations Maintain Neutrality in U.S.-Iran Conflict, Says Arab League Chief

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Nabil Fahmy, the Secretary-General of the Arab League, announced during a session of the Arab League Council in Cairo that Israel’s obstinacy and its delay in fulfilling the commitments of the Sharm El Sheikh agreement have undermined the transition from a ceasefire in Gaza to genuine peace. He further stated that the Arab League will establish a coordinating mechanism to document Israeli aggressions.

Fahmy asserted that the Arab League does not accept and cannot justify any Iranian attack on the territories and facilities of Arab countries, a statement made without direct reference to Israeli and U.S. actions against Iran or Washington’s continued aggressive movements towards Tehran, especially as Iran targets U.S. bases in the region in response to American attacks. He also noted that Arab countries are not a party to the war between the United States and Iran, and their sovereignty should not be a space for settling scores.
