Cuba: No Agenda for Future Talks with the United States, Says Foreign Minister

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Cuba‘s Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez stated on Monday that there is no specific agenda for upcoming negotiations with the United States. The announcement came as Rodríguez condemned the collective punishment imposed on the Cuban people through an energy blockade, intensified sanctions, and the enforcement of secondary sanctions by the U.S. government.

In a message shared on X, Rodríguez elaborated on his concerns, previously indicating that a detailed and slanderous statement released by the U.S. Department of State regarding Havana was intended to frighten American public opinion about a supposed threat to the world’s largest nuclear power. He described this as a peculiar action blending fabricated falsehoods with astonishing elements, penned by a government he accused of being responsible for violent and terrorist actions that resulted in the deaths of 3,478 Cubans and injuries to 2,099 others.

Rodríguez asserted that solidarity with those fighting for justice against oppression and crime is not a threat. He concluded by stating that Cuba is not a threat; rather, it is the blockade that constitutes the threat.
