US Envoy Reports Significant Progress in Ukraine Peace Talks Following Meetings with Leaders

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Steve Vittcoff, the United States envoy to Russia and Ukraine, announced significant advancements in efforts to de-escalate the conflict following recent meetings with officials from both nations. Writing on social media platform X, Vittcoff stated that he and fellow negotiators, including Jared Kushner, traveled to Moscow and Kyiv on the directive of President Trump to lay the groundwork for further talks aimed at concluding the war in Ukraine.
The U.S. envoy elaborated that prior to this trip, the Russian and Ukrainian sides had agreed to a three-day ceasefire to facilitate these diplomatic exchanges. Vittcoff, serving as the special representative, alongside Jared Kushner, then-President Trump’s son-in-law, and representatives from the National Security Council, State Department, and Treasury Department, met with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Their objective was to convey and review the proposals put forth by each party.
In Kyiv, Vittcoff was joined by national security advisors from the United Kingdom, Germany, and France, who collaborated with the U.S. delegation on the path forward. He claimed that considerable progress was achieved, notably an agreement on the timeline for additional trilateral discussions. President Trump is reportedly making strenuous efforts to end the bloodshed and pave the way for lasting and enduring peace.
