Sanders: Israel’s attack on Gaza is the most severe military attack in the 21st century

He said: “The military attack launched by Netanyahu’s right-wing cabinet against the Gaza Strip has caused widespread destruction and is the most severe military attack in the 21st century.”

Sanders added: “The consequences of Israel’s military attack have been catastrophic, during which more than 20,000 Palestinians have been killed, and it is believed that thousands of victims are still under the rubble.”

This Vermont state senator said: “The devastation that has come to Gaza after 100 days of war is more than the devastation that the German city of Dresden witnessed during the Second World War.

He added: “The United Nations facilities in Gaza were bombed even though they provided their coordinates to the Israeli forces.” On Tuesday, he said that the pain and suffering in Gaza was unacceptable and had reached an unprecedented level. The government has expressed, but the people of Israel must determine the right path.

He continued his speech and said: “Hundreds of thousands of people are starving in Gaza and famine is increasing at an incredible speed in this strip”.

This senior UN official added: “Providing humanitarian aid to about 300,000 people in northern Gaza is still a challenge.”
