Russia and Vietnam Pledge Continued Security Cooperation, Boost Trade Ties

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on Wednesday during a meeting with his Vietnamese counterpart that the special relationship of friendship and mutual understanding between Russia and Vietnam was established during Hanoi’s struggle for independence. Putin emphasized that the trade volume between the two nations saw an approximate 6% increase last year, and in the first six months of the current year, this figure nearly doubled. He further confirmed that Russia and Vietnam will continue their security cooperation.

Conversely, To Lam, in discussions with Putin, declared that relations with Russia are a priority for Hanoi’s foreign policy. Lam praised Putin’s role in shaping a multipolar world order, stating it is highly valuable. He expressed sincere gratitude to Putin and the Russian people for the development of bilateral cooperation.
