Kremlin Rules Out Reciprocal Visa Relaxation With Japan

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Kremlin has indicated that reciprocal visa relaxation with Japan is not on the horizon. Dmitry Peskov, the Press Secretary for the President of Russia, announced that Japan is unlikely to experience any mutual easing of visa regulations. Peskov emphasized that Japan has adopted a decidedly unfriendly position towards Russia, aligning with all imposed sanctions against the country. “In reality, this country is on the list of unfriendly countries,” Peskov stated. “Therefore, it is difficult to hope for any so-called mutual easing of regulations at this time.” He further noted that Russia has not sought to lower the level of bilateral relations. Peskov added that President Putin is slated to address the Russian people on Wednesday at 18:00 Moscow time, in the lead-up to the upcoming Duma elections.
