Israel Claims Assassination of Hamas Commander in Gaza
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Minister of War Yisrael Katz have jointly claimed the assassination of Izz al-Din al-Bik, identified as the commander of the Al-Qassam Brigades’ northern Gaza Strip brigade. The statement asserted that Israeli soldiers carried out the assassination of the Palestinian commander.
Al-Bik assumed command of the northern Gaza Strip brigade following the death of Ahmed al-Ghandour in 2023, who was also reportedly killed by the Israeli regime. Palestinian sources reported that al-Bik’s death occurred after an attack on an apartment in the Al-Naser neighborhood in western Gaza City.
Despite alleged ceasefires in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli regime’s incursions, assassinations, and crimes against the strip’s residents continue. Last week, the Israeli regime also claimed to have assassinated Mohammed Abu Alwan, head of Hamas’s financial affairs in the Gaza Strip.
