Russia Blames UK’s ‘Warlike Policies’ for Fuel Crisis
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Kirill Dmitriev, the special representative of the Russian President for Investment and Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries, stated that the crisis in the UK’s diesel fuel market is a direct result of the “warlike policies” pursued by British bureaucrats.
Dmitriev conveyed his message via the social media platform X, writing, “The diesel crisis in Britain is a direct result of the belligerent policy of British bureaucrats. They like to shoot themselves in both feet and destroy Western civilization.”
Dmitriev’s remarks come in the wake of record-breaking diesel prices in the UK. The automotive services company, The RAC, reported that the average price of diesel in the country has reached 199.18 pence per liter.
Recent reports have linked the surge in fuel prices in the UK to global energy supply disruptions, developments in the Middle East, and a reduction in the country’s refinery capacity. Reuters also reported that diesel prices in the UK have hit a new record, influenced by the energy crisis stemming from the aggression against Iran’s territory.
