Pakistan Affirms Trade Continuity with Iran, Citing Unilateral U.S. Sanctions

Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declared its commitment to continuing trade with Iran, stating that U.S. sanctions are unilateral and not sanctioned by the UN Security Council. Islamabad has called for restraint and diplomatic resolution between Tehran and Washington.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Pakistan‘s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement regarding the United States’ sanctions against Iran, affirming Pakistan’s status as a responsible nation committed to international law. The ministry emphasized that the sanctions imposed on Iran are unilateral and have not been issued by the UN Security Council. Consequently, Pakistan will continue its trade relations with Tehran. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry urged both Tehran and Washington to exercise restraint and resolve outstanding issues through dialogue and diplomacy. The statement also indicated that Pakistan is in contact with all relevant parties concerning sanctions and trade with Iran.
