US Military Plans Potential Deployment of Thousands of Marines to Middle East

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. officials announced on Thursday that the country’s military is planning for a potential surge in its naval forces in the Middle East over the next few weeks. These officials claimed that this action follows President Donald Trump’s contemplation of resuming operations against Iran after the midterm elections. The officials further asserted that this planning is aimed at providing greater flexibility for the President and the commanders overseeing warfare. The focus is on the potential deployment of up to three aircraft carriers, along with their escort vessels, to the region in November. Speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss the U.S. military’s movements, these officials added that the carrier strike groups would comprise approximately 20,000 personnel, up to 150 fighter jets, and numerous destroyers capable of launching missiles and defending against missile attacks. Previously, U.S. officials had stated that around 50,000 American military personnel are stationed in the Middle East.
