Pakistan Denies Reuters Report on Large-Scale Troop Deployment in Saudi Arabia

Pakistan’s Ministry of Intelligence has officially refuted a Reuters report claiming the deployment of 30,000 to 40,000 Pakistani military personnel in Saudi Arabia, labeling the figures as fabricated.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Pakistan‘s Ministry of Intelligence has issued a formal statement to officially deny a report published by Reuters, which alleged the deployment of 30,000 to 40,000 Pakistani military personnel in Saudi Arabia.

The report by Reuters had referenced a subject termed the “Mecca Joint Defense Agreement,” suggesting that Pakistan had stationed a significant number of its forces in Saudi Arabia for military cooperation.

However, Pakistani officials, citing the report’s reliance on anonymous sources and inaccurate information, emphasized that all figures cited, including the number of military personnel and other details presented in the claim, were “fabricated” and without factual basis.

This reaction signifies Islamabad’s effort to prevent the dissemination of rumors concerning military and defense relations with Riyadh.
