Jordanian Military Chief Discusses Partnership with CENTCOM Ground Forces Commander

Amman, Jordan – Jordan’s Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Zaid Al-Shraah, met with General Kevin Lieh, the commander of U.S. Central Command’s (CENTCOM) ground forces, to explore avenues for deepening military cooperation amid regional developments.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a senior Jordanian military official and the commander of the U.S. Central Command’s Ground Forces have held discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral military partnerships in light of evolving regional dynamics. The meeting, reported by Al-Rai, featured Major General Zaid Al-Shraah, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Jordanian Armed Forces, and General Kevin Lieh, Commander of CENTCOM Ground Forces.

Major General Al-Shraah welcomed General Lieh and his accompanying delegation on Wednesday. The two leaders exchanged views on expanding military cooperation and coordination between the armed forces of both nations. They also discussed the enhancement of existing defense partnerships, with the objective of bolstering joint efforts to support regional security and stability.

In his remarks, General Lieh acknowledged the pivotal and vital role played by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and its armed forces in reinforcing stability and security at both regional and international levels.

The session was attended by a contingent of senior commanders and officers from the Jordanian Armed Forces, as well as the U.S. military attaché in Amman.
