Trump Declares Imminent End to Iran Conflict, Cites Economic Benefits

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump claimed in remarks that the war with Iran “will end soon” and that Washington will make a decisive decision in the near future. During an election rally, Trump reiterated his past unsubstantiated claims that the Islamic Republic of Iran will never obtain nuclear weapons. He alleged that by halting military operations, energy prices in global markets would significantly decrease.
The U.S. President also engaged in deflection, criticizing the 2015 nuclear deal (JCPOA) and previous U.S. administrations. He asserted that Washington was compelled to take military action to counter what he termed the “threat of Iran,” an assertion presented to justify the costs and consequences of the current U.S. government’s warmongering in the region.
