US Authorities Seize Ilhan Omar’s Mobile Phone Amid Immigration Probe

Federal authorities have confiscated the mobile phone of Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar of Minnesota as part of an ongoing investigation into her immigration records, with subpoenas also issued for some of her relatives.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, federal officials have seized the mobile phone of Ilhan Omar, the Democratic Representative for Minnesota in the U.S. House of Representatives, during an investigation concerning her immigration documents. Associated Press reported that some of Omar’s relatives have also received subpoenas. Agents from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations conducted a search of Omar’s residence in the Washington area on Monday. This action is reportedly part of a federal probe into the immigration records of the Somalia-born representative, documents that sources indicate were completed by her late father during Omar’s childhood. A spokesperson for the U.S. Department of Justice informed Fox News that Homeland Security Investigations agents acted under a judicial search warrant obtained from the Department of Justice, confirming the actions are part of an ongoing federal investigation. Omar, a prominent figure in the progressive wing of the Democratic Party, is known for her strong criticism of Donald Trump. Their disagreements extend beyond partisan politics to include issues such as immigration, Islamophobia, U.S. policy toward Palestine and the Zionist regime, and national identity.
