North Korea Tests Two New Submarine-Launched Cruise Missiles

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, North Korea‘s state news agency, KCNA, reported on Thursday that Pyongyang has conducted tests of two new types of submarine-launched strategic cruise missiles in waters off its eastern coast. The state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) stated that the tests were aimed at assessing the reliability of the country’s war deterrence capabilities and enhancing the naval forces’ proficiency in strategic mission execution.
One of the missiles launched was identified as the “Pulhwasal-3-31,” a strategic cruise missile type that North Korea had previously announced testing from land last week. Senior military officials from North Korea supervised these maritime tests conducted along the nation’s eastern coastline.
