Attacks Expose Saudi Arabia’s Vulnerability Amid Regional Tensions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Reuters has reported that recent attacks on Riyadh’s airport and Aramco facilities have underscored Saudi Arabia‘s vulnerability to threats from neighboring countries, affecting its image as a secure destination for international investment. This comes at a time when Riyadh is striving to diversify its economy and reduce its reliance on oil.
Citing experts, Reuters reported that the scenario facing one of America’s key allies in the Persian Gulf region has been developing over years. According to these experts, Iran has assisted Yemen’s Ansarullah movement in achieving near self-sufficiency in producing and deploying advanced weaponry. This trend has led to the development of indigenous military and industrial capabilities that are not easily dismantled, even if direct supply routes for equipment are disrupted.
The report also emphasizes that alongside the development of weapon production capabilities by Ansarullah, America’s regional allies have faced increasing pressure on their air defense systems.
