US Prepares to Evacuate Staff and Families from Persian Gulf Embassies

The U.S. Department of State is reportedly preparing orders to evacuate some personnel and their families from American embassies in the Persian Gulf region, a move attributed to the potential resumption of conflict, particularly involving Yemen’s Ansarullah movement.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the U.S. Department of State is making preparations to issue orders for the evacuation of a number of staff members and their family members from American embassies in the Persian Gulf region. This action is reportedly linked to the possibility of renewed conflict, especially with Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, according to two U.S. officials cited by Reuters.

The U.S. Embassy in Riyadh issued a security warning on Wednesday, cautioning about the possibility of further Ansarullah attacks on Saudi Arabia. This warning followed previous attacks on Saudi Arabia, including an incident at Riyadh Airport.

Two U.S. officials also indicated that the potential evacuation order could encompass the withdrawal of all staff and their family members from the U.S. diplomatic mission in Saudi Arabia.
