Netanyahu Denies Trump Blocked Iran Strike, Calls for Regime Change

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has refuted claims that U.S. President Donald Trump prevented him from launching an attack on Iran, instead stating that the solution lies in toppling the Iranian government.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has dismissed reports suggesting that U.S. President Donald Trump recently obstructed his plans to attack Iran, labeling such accounts as “biased and incorrect.” Netanyahu reiterated his allegations against Iran in an interview with Israel’s Channel 7, asserting that as long as the current Iranian system remains in power, striking only nuclear facilities is insufficient.

The prime minister, who has reportedly failed to achieve his objectives regarding Iran and regional conflict, claimed, “I have previously instructed the army and Mossad that the solution is the overthrow of the Iranian regime.”

These statements from Netanyahu come amid previous reports from Israel’s Channel 12, which alleged that Israel had planned an attack on Iran approximately ten days prior, but Trump intervened to halt Netanyahu’s execution of these strikes. The Financial Times had also reported that Israel was planning an assault on Iran during the weekend preceding October 10, but this operation was halted on Trump’s orders. The newspaper further indicated that Tel Aviv’s target list for this planned operation included civilian infrastructure.
