Israel’s Ben Gvir Demands Arrest of Arab Party Leaders Over Alleged Qatari Funding

Israeli Internal Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir has called on the Shin Bet to arrest leaders of Arab parties that secured significant votes in the recent elections, alleging they received funding from Qatar.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli Internal Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir has urged the Shin Bet, Israel’s internal security service, to arrest the leaders of Arab parties that garnered substantial votes in the recent elections. Ben Gvir posted on the social media platform X, stating, “The Shin Bet must issue an arrest warrant this morning for the leaders of Arab parties suspected of involvement in receiving money from Qatar.” The minister based his claims on unverified assertions by some ministers, alleging that these parties received financial aid from Qatar. These claims emerge amid a political stalemate where neither Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu nor the opposition bloc secured a majority of seats in the elections, potentially positioning Arab parties as pivotal in government formation.
