Moscow Links European Energy Crisis to Social Unrest and Looting in Germany

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Kirill Dmitriev, the Russian President’s special envoy for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries and the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, reacted on the X social network to reports of store lootings in Frankfurt, Germany, amid protests over soaring living costs.
Dmitriev stated in his published note, As expected, high energy prices in the European Union, resulting from the irresponsible refusal to use Russian gas, translate into deindustrialization, unrest, and looting.
The Russian official further added that this cause-and-effect relationship also stems from self-destructive migration policies and a stubborn refusal to correct past mistakes.
These developments occur as nighttime protests in Germany, particularly in the city of Frankfurt, saw multiple retail shops targeted, broken into, and looted by demonstrators.
According to footage circulated from these events, masked individuals entered commercial establishments through shattered windows and plundered available goods.
Similar protests and looting incidents have previously been reported in France, where luxury stores were targeted and ransacked by demonstrators amidst widespread public discontent.
