North Korea Slams US Cryptocurrency Allegations as Baseless Smear Campaign

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Kim Yo Jong, the influential sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and a senior official of the ruling Workers’ Party of Korea, has fiercely rejected recent accusations leveled by the United States regarding state-sponsored cyber theft.
Kim asserted that Washington’s allegations are entirely baseless and represent a calculated effort to smear Pyongyang’s reputation on the global stage. The response follows a recent public warning issued by the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
In its recent advisory, the FBI accused North Korean state-sponsored hackers of stealing over 6 billion dollars in digital assets from the Binance cryptocurrency exchange. Furthermore, U.S. federal investigators claimed that the perpetrators have been laundering the stolen funds by converting them into Ethereum, warning that these illicit cyber activities pose an ongoing threat to global financial platforms.
