Moscow Warns Europe Against Military Scenario in Black Sea

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia’s diplomatic establishment has responded to the European Parliament’s initiatives for a new military mission in the Black Sea waters, characterizing it as a step towards militarily equipping Kyiv and intensifying the crisis.
Vladislav Maslennikov, speaking in an interview with the media outlet “Izvestia,” emphasized that pursuing and implementing such plans would solely lead to a worsening of the situation and the spread of insecurity across the entire Black Sea region.
The senior Russian Foreign Ministry official also criticized the sanctions imposed by the European Union, noting that these restrictions have disrupted the process of providing insurance services to vessels.
Earlier, on October 22, the European Parliament adopted a resolution that enables the European Union to consider conducting operations and deploying forces in the Black Sea.
Furthermore, representatives of the European legislative body urged member states to provide necessary support, in cooperation with NATO, to Bulgaria and Romania for the early detection and interception of drones that pose a threat to commercial and shipping routes in the Black Sea.
