Israeli Artillery Strikes Target Rural Damascus Amid Ongoing Violations in Syria

Israeli occupation forces have launched artillery strikes targeting agricultural lands around Beit Jinn in rural Damascus, marking a continuation of ongoing military aggressions against Syrian territory.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli artillery strikes targeted agricultural lands surrounding the town of Beit Jinn, forming part of a continuous wave of military aggressions directed against Syrian sovereign territory.

Concurrently, reports emerged of explosions heard in the vicinity of Maarat al-Numan in the rural Idlib countryside. Local sources indicated that assessments regarding the exact cause of the blasts and potential material damage are currently underway, as no official statements have yet been released.

Field findings indicate that these developments follow a pattern of ongoing incursions by Israeli forces. Earlier in October, occupation forces utilized military vehicles to raid agricultural lands situated between the Beit Jinn farm and the town itself, demolishing a former military outpost. Furthermore, in September, the Telat Bat al-Warda hill and surrounding areas in rural Damascus were subjected to heavy bombardments.

Israeli military transgressions across southern Syria, including the Quneitra countryside, systematically target local agricultural infrastructure and civilian assets. Such actions encompass raids on residential homes, arbitrary detentions, and land clearing operations, constituting blatant violations of the 1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement between Israel and Syria.

In response to these escalations, Syrian officials have condemned the actions as a direct violation of international law, reiterating demands for the complete and unconditional withdrawal of occupying forces from all Syrian territories. Damascus has additionally urged the international community to fulfill its responsibilities regarding repeated breaches of international treaties and to exert decisive pressure on the Israeli regime to halt its aggression in southern Syria.
