China Demands Washington Lift Sanctions Imposed Under Cuba Pretext

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, …
The Chinese Ministry of Commerce issued a formal statement on Saturday expressing resolute opposition to Washington’s coercive and unilateral actions against Chinese business entities, describing the approach as a flagrant violation of international norms and the fundamental principles governing interstate relations.
This firm stance follows the U.S. State Department’s announcement on Thursday regarding new sanctions targeting eight entities, two individuals, and five vessels designated as blocked assets. American officials claimed these measures were implemented to counter the activities of the Havana government inside Cuba and across the region.
The sanctioned entities include two Chinese companies—China National Electronics Import and Export Corporation and Beijing H&C Technology Co.—with Washington alleging that these firms supplied necessary equipment and components to the armed forces of Cuba.
The Chinese Ministry of Commerce further noted that the United States has inflicted significant damage on the lawful rights and interests of Chinese enterprises in recent days by intensifying economic pressure, expanding sanctions, and imposing numerous discriminatory restrictions.
The government body also pointed out that Washington’s recent decisions run counter to key agreements reached between the top leaders of the two countries, ultimately undermining the stability of trade and economic relations between Beijing and Washington.
Concluding its official statement, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce emphasized that Beijing reserves all necessary and appropriate measures to safeguard its legitimate rights and interests, maintaining its full right to respond.
