Gadi Eisenkot Party Rejects Netanyahu Unity Government Proposal Amid Tel Aviv Protests

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently floated the idea of forming a unity government in a bid to secure broader political support and maintain his grip on power.
Addressing the ongoing political shifts, Netanyahu stated that the current juncture demands the immediate formation of a unity government in Israel to navigate pressing national challenges.
However, the Yashar party, led by political rival Gadi Eisenkot, swiftly dismissed the invitation. In a statement released shortly after the prime minister’s appeal, Eisenkot’s faction argued that Netanyahu has a history of establishing unity and emergency cabinets only to undermine them later while failing to honor agreements with coalition partners.
The party further asserted that if Likud and its right-wing allies genuinely wish to join a unified administration, they must sever ties with extremist factions and instead enlist in a government headed by Eisenkot.
Meanwhile, parallel to these high-stakes political developments, a large crowd of demonstrators gathered in central Tel Aviv to voice their opposition. The protesters demanded the immediate removal of the current administration and called for the formation of a new government incorporating Arab parties.
In a related political maneuver, Yair Golan, leader of the Israeli Democrats party, echoed similar sentiments by calling for the total ouster of Netanyahu’s cabinet and the establishment of a transformative alternative government. Golan stressed that all available political efforts must be mobilized to replace the incumbent leadership and bring about meaningful structural change.
