Several Egyptian officials have said that Cairo has strongly warned Tel Aviv about the operation in the Philadelphia axis and the occurrence of a wave of refugees on Egyptian soil. |
According to Fars News Agency, the American newspaper Wall Street Journal wrote today (Saturday) that two Egyptian officials told this newspaper that the Cairo government is seriously considering recalling its ambassador from Israel.
The Wall Street Journal wrote that the Egyptian authorities insist on their support for Palestine and the formation of an independent Palestinian state and always warn about the forced migration of Palestinians from their land. Recently, he has seriously warned about the operation of the Israeli army in the “Philadelphia” axis. 1978 was established between Egypt and Israel to act as a buffer between Gaza and the Sinai desert. In 2005, the control of this area was handed over to Hamas, and it was decided that Egypt would deploy 750 border police forces there. Now Israeli and Arab sources say that Israel intends to occupy and take control of the Philadelphia line.
According to this American newspaper, two Egyptian officials said that Cairo is seriously considering the call. The ambassador is from Tel Aviv, and Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has not answered Benjamin Netanyahu’s several attempts to contact him by phone. So far, it is at its lowest level and the war in Gaza has cast a heavy shadow on the relations between the two sides.” Egyptian President El-Sisi has rejected the phone call of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
In this report, the reason for rejecting this call from El-Sisi is the difference between the two sides regarding the recent threat to Tel Aviv. It is said to carry out a military operation in the “Rafah” region and the “Philadelphia” axis on the border line between Egypt and occupied Palestine.
