Demonstrations of protesters against Netanyahu in Tel Aviv and occupied Jerusalem
Thousands of residents of the occupied territories called for Netanyahu's ouster by holding massive demonstrations in Tel Aviv and occupied Jerusalem on Saturday. |
According to the report of Fars News Agency International Group, the media of the Zionist regime reported that a massive demonstration was held in the center of Tel Aviv against Netanyahu.
The demonstrators are from the cabinet of this regime. They wanted to reach an agreement for the release of the prisoners in Gaza as soon as possible.
Also, another massive demonstration was held in front of Netanyahu’s house in occupied Jerusalem.
In their slogans, the demonstrators called for the removal of Netanyahu and the holding of early elections in the occupied territories.
Protests by the families of Israeli prisoners have become more intense since the 70th day of the war against Gaza, and the opponents of the continuation of the war have been several times in Kaplan Square in the center of Tel Aviv. They have gathered or demonstrated in front of the headquarters of the Israeli War Ministry.
Now that 120 days have passed since the start of the Al-Aqsa storm operation, the pressure on Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet has increased; With slogans of “immediate agreement”, the protesters pressure the Ministry of War to stop the attacks against Gaza, which threaten the lives of their own prisoners and have killed many Israelis.
In the shadow of the continuation Negotiations between Hamas and Tel Aviv on a ceasefire agreement with the mediation of Doha, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Majid Al-Ansari, emphasized that “Israel has agreed to the proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza and we are waiting for Hamas’ approval”.
But according to Hebrew media reports, this promising news was not enough for Israelis and Netanyahu’s provocative statements brought them back to the streets. In his last statement, he said that he will not stop the war against Gaza, nor will he be willing to release thousands of Palestinian prisoners. Sources familiar with the process of negotiations for the exchange of prisoners emphasized that the Prime Minister’s statements will hurt the efforts to reach an agreement.
